The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kinshasa Mr. Theodosios celebrated the Divine Liturgy today at the Holy Cathedral of St. Mark the Apostle. Collaborating with him was Archimandrite Fr. of the Foreign Mission Office of the Holy Metropolis of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, of which he is the Director.

Clergy of the Holy Metropolis of Kinshasa also concelebrated at the Divine Liturgy.

Fr. Vasilios took over the preaching of the Divine Word and, on the occasion of Sunday's gospel passage, referred to the free participation of man in God's saving call. He emphasized that God invites all people to the supper of His Kingdom, but without abolishing their freedom. Responding to the divine call is a personal choice and presupposes faith, love and a disposition for complete communion with Christ.

Nice to see Father Vasilios come all the way from Crete to help with the new Kindergarten in Kinsas. His sermon about free choice at God's invitation made me think, because he really doesn't force anyone. May they continue to succeed with this mission.

It is interesting that Father Vasily came from the monastery of St. Anastasia the Roman. And his sermon about free choice to respond to God’s call is right to the point - God calls everyone, but forces no one. Thank you for this example of a mission from Refimini.
