Theodore of Alexandria: Ministry to every person is an integral part of the mission of the Orthodox Church in Africatranslated

His Beatitude the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, Mr. Theodore II was visited yesterday, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at the Patriarchal Cathedral, by a delegation of the Orthodox Charitable Order of the Holy Great Martyr George the Trophy Bearer. The Order, which is based in the United States of America and has members coming from various countries, develops a worthy charitable and humanitarian action, with special care for the support of the Churches and Christian communities of the Middle East, especially in the present era, in which the protection of human dignity, human rights and religious freedom acquires special importance.

His Beatitude warmly welcomed the members of the delegation, led by the President of the Order, Mr. Konstantine Pandolfi, thanked them for their presence in Alexandria and congratulated them for their many philanthropic and social contributions.

During the meeting, the Alexandrian Primate provided extensive information about the great missionary, charitable, social, educational and humanitarian work of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa,...

Thanks for the article. It is nice to see that the Order of Saint George, based in America, is actually helping the communities in the Middle East and that Patriarch Theodoros II received them and spoke to them about mission work and schools in Africa. Such collaboration does good where it is really needed.

Thanks for the article. It is good that the Order of St. George from America helps specifically the Middle Eastern communities, and Patriarch Theodore II told them in detail about the schools and mission in Africa. In our choir we also often collect for such needs, it’s a necessary thing.

In Niš, at the celebration of Saint George, we always gather to discuss similar matters, so it is dear to us that the Order helps concrete Christians in the Middle East.
