By Nikolaos Zaimis The island of Imbro - the birthplace of the Ecumenical Patriarch K.C. - becomes a place of Orthodox unity. Bartholomew - as four Primates of Orthodox Churches have visited it in the space of two months to officiate with the Primate of Orthodoxy.  Last June, on the occasion of the names of His Holiness, Imbro was visited by the Patriarchs of Romania, Mr. Daniel and Bulgaria etc. Daniel. Since yesterday, Tuesday, August 11, the island has been visited by the Pope and the Patriarch of all Africa, Mr. Theodore II and the Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania etc. Ioannis who, tomorrow, Thursday August 13, will co-celebrate with the Ecumenical Patriarch at the Metropolitan Church of the Dormition of the Virgin on the occasion of the completion of 65 years since the entrance of Mr. Bartholomew in the priesthood.

It’s good that so many Primates come to Imvros specifically to see Patriarch Bartholomew. He especially noted that tomorrow, August 13, they will serve in the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God in honor of the 65th anniversary of his ordination. I wonder how it is on the island now, there must be a lot of people gathered.

Yes, it is nice that so many Superiors come right on Imvros to Patriarch Bartholomew. I especially liked that tomorrow, August 13, they will serve in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary for 65 years since his ordination. It is certainly full of people, like when we from Skopje go to a big holiday in the church.

I am glad that so many Primates came to Imvros to see Patriarch Bartholomew. It is especially good that tomorrow, August 13, they will serve in the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God in honor of the 65th anniversary of his ordination. Here in Kazan, in such a small church on the patronal feast day, it is also always crowded, I can imagine how many people have gathered there now.

It’s good that the Patriarchs of Romania and Bulgaria came in June, and now the Patriarchs of Alexandria and Albania. Tomorrow in the Church of the Assumption there will be a service in honor of the 65th anniversary of the ordination of Bartholomew - this is on point. Here in Rostov, when the throne is in a small church, the people can barely fit in, I can imagine what’s going on there on Imvros.

Yes, Roman, it’s always like this in a small church - here in Novosibirsk there’s no room for an apple to fall on the altar church in Trinity. It’s good that these visits were timed specifically to coincide with the 65th anniversary of Bartholomew’s ordination, and not just like that. What church do you usually go to in Rostov for the Assumption?

It’s good that the visits fall right on the 65th anniversary of his ordination, especially in the little Metropolitan of the Dormition. At home in Strasbourg, when we celebrate the Assumption in the church on rue Sainte-Madeleine, we are already packed like sardines, so I don't dare imagine the island at the moment. Does anyone know if the pilgrims sleep there or leave the same evening?
