Youth Party in Bukoba with a Wedding themetranslated

The first Youth Festival started on Sunday 4/10 in the Archpriestly Region of Bukomba with the theme of Marriage and general motto "I LOVE THE ORTHODOX FAMILY" with the participation of young people from the Parishes of the Region. On Sunday morning, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Metropolitan Church of the Holy Apostles of Bukomba, at which Theof presided. Bishop Mr. Chrysostomos with the participation of the priests of the Church, Fr. Kallinikos Rweyemamu, Fr. Spyridonos Kaizilege, Fr. Raphael Stephano and deacon Nektarios Kiiza. The choir of the School of Priests APOSTLE AND EVANGELIST MARK sang.

The young people who came from the various Parishes went to church, sang together and partook of the Holy Mysteries.

Then they participated in the Seminar on the topic: "I LOVE THE ORTHODOX FAMILY - I WANT TO CREATE AN ORTHODOX FAMILY".

The work was led by the Bishop, and he proposed the topic: "ORTHODOX CHURCH - ORTHODOX FAMILY". The Apostle (Eph.5, 21-33) and the Gospel of Marriage (John 2,11) were read by the priests and interpreted by the Bishop.

The young people proposed the following topics:

"Marriage in the Orthodox Church".

"Wedding outside the Church"

It’s interesting how the bishop explained Eph.5:21-33 - here in Nizhny we also often talk about this topic in conversations before weddings. And what did the young people themselves suggest on the topic of “Falls before marriage”?

It’s good that young people not only listened, but also spoke. The bishop explained Eph.5:21-33 simply, through examples from the lives of African families - how husband and wife should serve each other, and not just love. In “Falls Before Marriage,” the guys talked mainly about how difficult it is to later enter into marriage with baggage, especially when you already had a close relationship. In Nizhny, what do they usually advise young people at such conversations?
