Holy Metropolis of Floris: The sermon of the 11th Sunday of Matthewtranslated

August 16, 2026 · 1 min read

Sunday 11th of Matthew (Matthew 18, 23-35) – (Sunday August 16, 2026) Today's passage of the merciless servant belongs to those parables that Christ told only to the narrow circle of His twelve disciples.

In this parable Christ said that "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who wanted to settle his accounts with his servants. He then began to examine the accounts, and one was brought to him that owed a huge sum. Because he could not pay it, the master ordered that he, his wife, his children and everything he owned be sold to pay off his debt. The slave begged his master to do so

patience and it will pay off. He then took pity on him and forgave him all the debt.
