With the Holy Vigil typical of the Saints, this year the Feast of the Transfiguration of Christ the Savior was celebrated again, this year's feast of the Holy Pantocrator Monastery of Mount Athos. The solemn Vigil was officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Mr. Varnavas and the Theophilus Bishop of Myrin, Mr. Athenagoras.
On the right lectern the accompaniment of Elder Damascene Neoscetiotis sang, while on the left the "Thessalonian Hymnoids" choir, under the direction of the Protopsaltos of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki, Mr. Ioannis Liakou.
The Vigil lasted throughout the night and ended on the morning of the main day with the solemn Divine Liturgy.
