The Bishop of Skopelos Nikodimos in Krioneri B. Eviatranslated

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, the Most Reverend Bishop of Skopelos, Mr. Nikodimos, accompanied by the first ambassador. Stavros Kalafati, went to the mountainous Parish of Kryonerite Istiaia, where St. Great Martyr Marina. Thephilestatos officiated at Vespers, flanked by his clerical companion, the protopresb. Ioannis Thanos-Clerical Commissioner of Istiaia, Georgios Albanis, the eighty-six-year-old vicar of the Parish of Krionerite, presb. Athanasios Gerogianni- Vicar of Kerasia Parish and the pious residents of the small village.

The Most Reverend Mr. Nikodimos, in his sermon, after describing the Christian education of Saint Marina, pointed out the value of the same education to young Christians, stressing that Christian education, without devotional education, is not understood.

Also at the dismissal, His Holiness Theophilustatos solemnly wished all the believers in the church, while with the warmth of his heart he congratulated the vicar of the village, Fr. Georgios, for completing eighty-six years of age (born 17.7.1940) and fifty-three years of tireless and devoted priestly ministry.
