High priest Vespers of Agia Paraskevi in Melikitranslated

On Saturday, July 25, in the afternoon, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania Mr. Panteleimon officiated at the Solemn Vespers and preached the divine word in the celebratory Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi Meliki. After Vespers, a festive musical traditional event followed in the courtyard of the Holy Church.

His Excellency's speech

"Martyr of Christ, all hail, I lusted after Christ the Lord with all my soul."

In the spiritual chain of the holy women martyrs that our Holy Church celebrates in the month of July, today one more golden link is added. The holy great martyr Paraskevi is added, whom we have come to honor tonight in this holy temple which is dedicated to her grace.

We have come to honor a young woman who did not hesitate to dedicate to Christ not only her soul but also her body, a young woman who dared to sacrifice her existence, her father's property and her life for Christ.

Nicolae StoicaYes, I read the sermon too. It stuck in my head exactly what he said about how Saint Paraskevi also gave her father's wealth for Christ - nowadays you really don't see that often. The traditional concert after was a good idea, it seemed to hold the world together more.
