On Monday, July 20, 2026, the small church of Prophet Ilias in Kato Kerasovo Agrini, in the village of Lanaraiika, is celebrating. On the eve of July 19, solemn Vespers is held and on the day of Orthros and Solemn Divine Liturgy. The presence of the faithful, who come from Kato Kerasovo but also from the surrounding villages of Makrynia and from the city of Agrinio, is a special blessing and joy at the religious events, and all of them praying together receive the grace of the Prophet Elias of Thesvitis. The Greatest of the Prophets ascended in a fiery chariot to heaven and left His disciple Elisha to continue His work.

The Prophet Elias came from Thesbi in the Gilead region and lived in the 9th century BC. He exercised his prophetic gift for twenty-five years and foretold the coming of our Christ 816 years before his birth, he had miraculous power. Marius CiobanuAmintesc și eu proverbul ăla cu strugurii de Sfântul Ilie, bun de pus la vin. Anul trecut am fost la slujba de seară din Lanaraika, era lume multă din Macrinia și din Agrinio, aerul mirosea a brad și a tămâie. O să încerc să ajung și anul ăsta, dacă nu mă prinde vreo lucrare de seară.
