The Feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in the Holy Church of Panagia Faneromenis Trikalatranslated

The great Theodoric feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary was celebrated again this year with particular splendor in the historic Holy Church of Panagia Faneromenis Trikala. After the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, the customary procession of the Holy Icon of the Dormition of the Virgin followed, with the participation of many pious believers, who came to honor the Virgin Mary and ask for her grace and protection.

The Divine Liturgy was performed by Protopresbyter Fr. Anastasios Gavotzimas, while Archimandrite Fr. Evangelos Katsaras was present as a co-prayer.

The hymns of the great holiday were rendered with particular enthusiasm by the President of the Association of Chanters of the Prefecture of Trikala, PhD candidate Mr. Athanasios G. Dimitriou, and the elected member of the Association Mr. Athanasios Fofikos.
