Saint Euphemia, The return of her holy relic from Lemnostranslated

But the poor man was not forever forgotten, nor was the groaning of the needy utterly despised, for after the winter darkness of many months, as Pindar would have said, a cheerful spring shone in the Church and brought salvation to the people of God, through the intercession of the pious queen Irene and the son of Constantine, who assembled Ecumenical Synod; they having fixed the veneration of the holy images, restored piety and crowned the Church of Christ with profound peace.

The queen, together with her other cares, -and probably before them-, hastens to restore and rebuild the temple of the almighty, so that it becomes more magnificent, and also, thanks to the love she had for the martyr, (makes sure) that she behaves towards Chalcedon with favor and royal philanthropy.
