Elder Ephraim from Porto Lagos: "The Virgin Mary is the model of faith and life for the Orthodox" (VIDEO)translated
As the preeminent model of faith and life for the Orthodox, the Most Holy Theotokos was characterized by the Professor of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, Geron Ephraim during his speech at the Holy Vigil held in Vatopedino Metohi in Porto Lagos on the feast of the Dormition of the Virgin.

A multitude of believers from Greece and abroad gathered in Porto Lagos for the feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the Vatopedino Metochi of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
The Holy Vigil began at 8:00 p.m., according to the Agiorite standard, presided over by the Professor of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, Elder Ephraim. Vatopedi fathers and priests participated in the Vigil, while the dance of the Vatopedi fathers performed the hymns of the service.
In his speech, Elder Ephraim referred to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the importance of humility and devotion to God.
Among the pilgrims who attended the religious events was the American actor Jonathan Jackson.
