Priest and Youth Synagogue in Ghanatranslated

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, after the Holy Mass, at the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ the Savior in Accra, a joint meeting of the Holy Clergy of the Holy Metropolis and the members of the Ghana Orthodox Youth Union was held under the chairmanship of the Reverend Metropolitan of Accra, Mr. Daniel.

It's good to see the clergy and the youth meeting together like that in Accra. The visit from Nathan Hoppe and Santhe Loisos from OCMC sounds like it gave them some practical help for coordinating the mission work. Praying the dialogue bears fruit for the young people there.

Pavol, súhlasím, že hneď po Ortros v katedrále je to pekný začiatok. Nathan a Santhe z OCMC už dlho pomáhajú v Afrike, takže ich rady na koordináciu misie môžu byť naozaj praktické. Čo myslíš, pomôže to viac kňazom alebo skôr tej mládeži v Ghane?

Myslím, že viac pomôže kňazom, lebo oni potom lepšie vedia zapojiť tú mládež do reálnych vecí, nie len do stretnutí. Nathan s Santhe už roky robia podobné koordinácie v Keni, takže vedia, čo funguje. Pavol, bol si niekedy na takej misijnej porade s Američanmi?

Máš pravdu, kňazi to naozaj potrebujú najviac, lebo potom vedia dať mladým konkrétne úlohy, nie len besedy. V Keni to Nathanovi so Santhe evidentne funguje, keď sa tam vracajú. Pavol, ty si tam bol osobne?

Áno, súhlasím, kňazi potrebujú jasný plán, inak sa všetko skončí pri rečiach. V Ghane to Nathan a Santhe tiež rozbiehajú podobne ako v Keni, vidieť to podľa toho, koľko mladých sa tam zapája do praktických vecí. Pavol, ty si ich stretol osobne pri poslednej návšteve?
