Metheortos Vespers and Praises to the Most Holy Theotokos in historic Maroneiatranslated

The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Mr. Panteleimon, officiated the afternoon of the Mother of God feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, during the Mass of Vespers at the celebratory Holy Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Maroneia and the Praises to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Afterwards, His Holiness presided over the litany of the Epitaph of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Order of Artoklasia.

In his sermon he addressed words of praise to the all-holy person of the Most Holy Theotokos and invoked Her Embassies for all.

It’s good that the Assumption is so revered in Maronia. Litia with the Shroud of the Virgin Mary and artoklasia - this is our way, the Orthodox way. I wonder how many people gathered in the old church that evening?

Yes, in Maronia they always try to do everything according to order, especially on the Assumption. I also love when they bring out the Shroud and then the artoklasia - the smell of bread in the church after that is especially homey. And how many people there were, Vasily, they didn’t write in the article, but their old church was small, probably they could fit all their own people.
