The exhibition for the 100 years of Evangelistria Nea Ionia Volos was inauguratedtranslated

The opening of the exhibition entitled "Evangelist of New Ionia Volos: A century of history, faith and contribution" was held yesterday, Sunday, September 27, by His Eminence Metropolitan Dimitrias, Mr. Ignatios. The exhibition is held as part of the anniversary events for the completion of 100 years since the foundation and the historical course of the Church of the Evangelist of Nea Ionia Volos (1926–2026) and is hosted at the Museum of the City of Volos (Feron 17, Palaia Volos), where it will remain open to the public until December 6, 2026.

The opening was attended by Rev. Metropolitans of Messinia Mr. Chrysostomos and Mr. Grigorios of Peristeri, as well as the Archbishop Thomas Synodinos, Head of the Cathedral Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos of Athens, clergy, representatives of the local authorities and a crowd of people.

The event was opened by the Head of the Church of the Evangelist of Nea Ionia Volos, Archim. Amfilochios Milotos, who presented the rationale and philosophy of the exhibition, pointing out that "Evangelistria is more than just a church in Volos" and is "a landmark, a point of reference for Nea Ionia and its people".
