Representatives of the Russian Church in Tehran for Khamenei's funeraltranslated

With the blessing of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Mr. Cyril representatives of the Russian Church participated in the funeral of the murdered Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.  In particular, the Bishop of Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan Sabbatios and Hieromonk Grigorios (Matrusov), head of the Council of Experts for Interaction with the Islamic World of the Department of External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, went to Tehran and took part in the mourning events.

Participation in commemorative events On July 3, a memorial ceremony was held in Tehran, attended by political and religious figures from various countries. On the same day, representatives of various religious traditions met at a luncheon hosted by Hojat-ul-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Imanipour, President of Iran's Organization for Culture and Islamic Relations. "During the event, Bishop Sabbatios and Hojat-ul-Islam Mahdi Imanipour exchanged greetings," TEES reports.
