The Holy Diocese of Aetolia and Acarnania, feeling the agony of the parents of newly admitted students through the Foundation for Needy Students of the Holy Diocese of Aetolia and Acarnania, intends to provide scholarships to facilitate students in their studies, especially for those who succeed in Schools far away from their place of origin in accordance with the conditions of the following Scholarship Announcement for Tertiary Education students

A. SCHOLARSHIP CATEGORIES

CATEGORY A

Eight (8) scholarships are awarded to newly admitted undergraduate students with financial difficulties in the academic year 2026-2027 who are studying in Greek institutions of Higher Education (except the Theological Schools of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Supreme Ecclesiastical Academies...

Good that they help students who have to go far from home to study. Eight scholarships are not many, especially for families where it is really hard. It's a shame that the theological schools in Athens and Thessaloniki are excluded, that would interest me as well.

The Diocese does good and helps the children who leave far away, especially when the parents have financial difficulties. The 8 scholarships for 2026-2027 are useful, but I am sorry that the Theological Schools of Athens and Thessaloniki are excluded - why?
