Dimitriados Ignatios: "Let us arrive prepared for the summer Easter"translated

Today, Sunday August 9, the Rev. Metropolitan of Dimitrias, Mr. Ignatios, in the presence of the President of the Regional Council of Thessaly, Mr. Chrysas Tsaganou, and almost all the residents of the village. In his sermon, His Eminence referred to today's Gospel passage and the miracle of the healing of the moonless youth, pointing out that Christ, through this event, reveals three basic elements that every Christian is called to cultivate in his life: faith, prayer and fasting.
Referring initially to faith, Rev. Ignatius emphasized that this is not a simple admission of the existence of God, but a living relationship of absolute trust in the person of Christ: "Christ asks for a faith that has absolute trust in His person. It asks for a faith that man acquires day by day, because this faith is a struggle. Faith is not a given, it doesn't work magically, it's not something you master and you're done.
