Saint Michael Paknanas: The only chapel in Athens dedicated to the New Martyr of our Church (VIDEO)translated

Agios Michael Paknanas was born in Athens and lived in the district of Vlassaros, below the Acropolis. He refused to convert to Mohammedanism and was sentenced to death by beheading by the Turks, at the Columns of Olympian Zeus. The only chapel in the entire capital city dedicated to the Saint Michael, the neomartyr, is located in the Ascension of the Lord N. Kosmos, where according to tradition the Saint's gardens were located, as the vicar of the Archimandrite Church, Father Nikodimos Kavarnos, explained to Journalist Dimitris Strumbakos. Спасибо, что напомнили про святого Михаила Пакнанаса. Интересно, что его сады были именно там, где теперь этот единственный в Афинах придел при храме Вознесения в Нео Космо. Буду молиться ему сегодня, 9 июля.

Καλό το βίντεο, μου άρεσε που ο π. Νικόδημος εξήγησε για τους κήπους του Αγίου ακριβώς εκεί που είναι τώρα το παρεκκλήσι στον Νέο Κόσμο. Δεν ήξερα ότι είναι το μόνο στην Αθήνα αφιερωμένο στον Μιχαήλ Πακνανά. Θα τον μνημονεύσω σήμερα.

Interessant, dass die Gärten des Heiligen genau dort lagen, wo jetzt das einzige Michael-Paknanas-Kapelle in Athen steht, beim Aufnahmekirche im Neos Kosmos. Der Priester Nikodimos hat das im Video gut erklärt. Ich werde ihn heute auch mit ins Gebet nehmen.

Συμφωνώ, ο π. Νικόδημος τα είπε πολύ καθαρά για τους κήπους. Εγώ πέρσι πέρασα από εκεί μετά τη λειτουργία και μου έκανε εντύπωση πόσο ήσυχο είναι το παρεκκλήσι ανάμεσα στα σπίτια. Θα πω κι εγώ ένα τροπάριο σήμερα το απόγευμα.
