Youth Group of the Federation of Greek Communities of Georgia in the Diocese of Rethymnotranslated

The "Theomitor" Center of the Holy Metropolis of Rethymno and Avlopotamos hosted a ten-member group of the Youth Association of the Federation of Greek Communities of Georgia, under the leadership of the President of the Association, Mr. Eugenias Kotanidou, as part of a Greek language learning program. On the afternoon of Saturday, September 5, 2026, Rev. Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos Mr. Prodromos received the young people at the Episcopate of Rethymno. During the meeting they had the pleasure of communicating and chatting, as well as exchanging souvenirs.

His Eminence spoke to the visitors about the rich ecclesiastical history of the place and wished them the grace of the Saints in Crete to watch over them and protect them in their good fight in Georgia, which was claimed to have as Pastor a professedly Holy Primate, the blessed Patriarch Ilias.

His Eminence assured the President of the Association, Mrs. Eugenia Kotanidou, that our Local Church will always be a helper in every action that promotes culture, progress and the togetherness of the peoples, and indeed of the Orthodox.
