Farewell celebration for the girls in the Camps of the Diocese of Maroneiatranslated

July 12, 2026 · 1 min read

On the afternoon of Friday, July 10, 2026, the camp season ended for the girls of our region, with a farewell celebration organized by the children by their managers and team leaders. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Mr. Panteleimon, warmly thanked all those in charge of the Camp and the executives who lovingly took care of its smooth and inspiring operation, stressing that their contribution was invaluable, just as the support of the parents was equally important, since they offered their children this important experience, and he wished everyone health, strength and a good rest of the summer.

So the children left the camp with in their luggage the memories of the days they spent together in nature, near the sea, full of play, creation, with the light of Christian love and the experience of the community, with the hope that they will reward again, full of enthusiasm and faith.

It's good that the children spent time by the sea with games and prayer. Thanks to Metropolitan Panteleimon for the kind words to the parents - this is really important. In our choir, too, after camp, children return with renewed vigor.

It's good that the girls spent time by the sea with play and community. Thanks to Metropolitan Panteleimon for reminding us of the role of parents - without their support, none of this would have happened. Our children from Belgrade always return after the summer camp calmer and with a new song in their heads.

I'm glad the girls left with memories of days spent by the sea, games and Christian light. I thank Metropolitan Panteleimon for also mentioning the parents - without them it would not have been possible. At our place, after the mountain camps, my boy always comes back calmer.
