The Archpastors of Canada Sponsors the Film "Saint Paisios" at the Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada (GIFFT)translated

The annual period of the Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada (Greek International Film Festival Tour of Canada – GIFFT) will take place this year from September 24 to October 4. The successful GIFFT, under the presidency and direction of Mr. Stan Papoulakos, will screen a series of films in ten cities across Canada.

Among these is the much-anticipated film "Saint Paisios," directed by Mr. Stamou Tsamis, which is based on the highly successful television series "Saint Paisios: From Pharaon to Heaven."

The Archpastors of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Canada (AOPC) are particularly pleased to support, as official sponsors, the screening of this film.

Holy Paisios the Hermit, one of the most beloved contemporary Saints of Orthodoxy, lived a large part of his life on Mount Athos, which is spiritually associated with the Ecumenical Patriarchate. In 2015, the Holy and Sacred Synod, under the presidency of His All-Holiness Bartholomew I, officially included Elder Paisios in the Orthodox Canon.
