The Great Vespers of the Nativity of the Theotokos at the Historical Monastery of Tsoukastranslated

With particular brilliance and in an atmosphere of reverence, the Panagia Tsouka Monastery, known as "Lady of Epirus," was filled with hundreds of worshippers who flooded the enchanting Castle-monastery of Panagia Tsouka, celebrating the Great Vespers on the feast day of the Hypostasis of the Most Holy Theotokos. During the Great Vespers, the Very Reverend Metropolitan of Ioannina Maximus officiated, with the participation of the Abbot of the Holy Monastery, Thoma, as well as priests from the Holy Metropolis of Ioannina.

In his inspired sermon, the Very Reverend spoke about the deeper meaning of this great Theophany feast, developing before the large congregation the significance of the Birth of the Virgin for the journey of the Divine Economy and the hope of salvation for mankind.

The procession concluded in an atmosphere of emotion, with the Very Reverend distributing commemorative medals to those who have made significant contributions to the work and restoration of the cells and properties of the Holy Monastery.

I heard that the Chroni brothers, Dimitrios and Athanasios, helped a lot in restoring the chapels at Tsouka. It's nice when people reach out and give concrete help to the monastery. The service must have been really impressive with so many people.
