"Patridognosia" - Turkish invasion of Cyprus: The liquidation of the Agyrta enclavetranslated

General Andreas Blanos talks with Panagiotis Mavropoulos, lieutenant general e.a. and author, for the clearing of the Agyrta enclave in Cyprus in 1974. This enclave was created in 1963-64 and connected the city of Nicosia with the maritime area west of Kyrenia. The operation failed and was one of the causes of the defeat in the war. Максим ЗайцевIt is a pity that such an important section, connecting Nicosia with the sea west of Kyrenia, was not held. I wonder if Panagiotis Mavropoulos writes in more detail in the book why exactly the cleanup operation failed?
