The Feast of the Dormition of the Virgin in the Holy Monastery of Panagia Trikorfiotissatranslated

August 15, 2026 · 1 min read

On August 14 and 15, 2026, the Dormition of the Virgin was celebrated with holy awe in the Holy Monastery of Panagia Trikorfiotissa, which is the rector of the Monastery. A multitude of believers from the surrounding areas of Phocis, as well as from the Peloponnese, Northern Greece, Epirus and Attica, came to the Holy Monastery to honor the Virgin Mary and worship Her holy icon.

The Holy Masses of Vespers, Holy Communion and the Divine Liturgy were presided over by the Professor of the Holy Monastery, Elder Nektarios Moulatsiotis, who addressed the pilgrims with a timely speech.

After the completion of the Holy Services, a treat was offered to all the devout pilgrims who participated in the celebration.

Thank God that so many people came even from the Peloponnese and Attica. It is good that hegumen Nektary spoke after the services, it is always useful to hear. And the kerasma after the Liturgy is already a tradition, it is nice when it is accepted that way.
