Vespers in honor of Saint Paisios in Leontaritranslated

On the afternoon of Saturday, July 11, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon, Mr. Timotheus, officiated at the solemn Vespers service, on the holy memory of our Holy and God-bearing Father Paisios of Agioreitos, in the Holy Chapel of the same name of the Local Community of Leontario. During his speech, he referred to the person of the modern Saint of our Church, presenting him as a true "man of God", whose life is a valuable spiritual legacy and a safe model for every believer who wishes to walk the path of salvation.

As he characteristically mentioned, it is extremely difficult to approach with human words the greatness of the personality of Saint Paisios. Christ, as he noted, gave him to the Church as a bright example, so that people could reflect their lives on his own struggle and be inspired by his path to holiness.
