Today, according to the liturgy of the Church, we honor the memory of Martyr Charitina, Hieromartyr Hermogenes and Saint Methodia of Kimolos.

Holy Methodia of Kimolos Faithful women have worthily competed with faithful men in spiritual struggles and holiness. Our Church has to show a multitude of faithful women, who brighten up the ecclesiastical firmament. One of them was Saint Methodia in Kimolos. A modern ossificial significant form.
He came from the island of Kimolos and was born on November 10, 1865 to God-fearing and virtuous parents. Her father's name was Iakovos and her mother Maria, and her last name was Sardis. There were three sons and five daughters in the family. The second of these was Irene, which was later renamed Methodia. From a young girl she was distinguished for her modesty, her faith in God and her obedience. She was adorned with virtues and kindness and that is why she stood out from the other girls in the family and the area.
