Arrival of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Hungary – Visit to the Orthodox Christian Dialogue Center "Fanarion"translated

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew arrived at Budapest International Airport at noon, where he was received by the regional Metropolitan of Austria and Exarch of Hungary Arsenios, flanked by his assistants Bishops Apameias Paisios and Aristis Maximos.

On behalf of the Government of Hungary, His Holiness was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mrs. Anita Orban.

The reception was also attended by the Ambassadors of Greece and Cyprus, Messrs. Spyridon Voulgaris and Omiros Mavromatis.

Immediately after, His Holiness went to the Orthodox Christian Dialogue Center "Phanarion", of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in the center of Budapest, where he worshiped at the Holy Church of the Three Hierarchs and then toured the premises of the Center.

Tomorrow the doors of the Church and the Orthodox Center will be opened by His Holiness.

The Ecumenical Patriarch is accompanied by the Metropolitan of Geron Chalkidonos Emmanuel, the Metropolitan of Paramythia, Filiaton, and Geromeri Serapia, M. Welcome Patriarch Bartholomew to Budapest. I am glad that he was able to worship at the church of the Three Holy Hierarchs in that new "Fanarion" center on the very first day. I am looking forward to the consecration service of the nave tomorrow, let's see how it looks after so much work.

I am glad that Patriarch Bartholomew immediately after his arrival went to bow in the Church of the Three Hierarchs in Fanarion. It looks like the center is really ready. I wonder what the opening ceremony itself will look like tomorrow.

I see that he was also welcomed by the Hungarian Deputy Prime Minister and our ambassadors from Greece and Cyprus.
