The Metropolitan of Thessaloniki Mr. Philotheos officiated and preached the divine word at the Parish Church of Agios Therapontos Kato Toumpas on Sunday (Matthew 14) 6 September 2026. Collaborating with the Metropolitan Mr. Philotheo was the Proto-Cycle of the Holy Metropolis and President of the Ecclesiastical Council of the Church, Fr. Iakovos Athanasios, his co-priests, Fr. Charalambos Karadimos, Fr. Ilias Karatzoglou and Fr. Andreas Pepes, Fr. Ilio Pylaia and the deacons Fr. Dimitrios Rudko and Fr. Nikolaos Gurgenitze.

Nice to see Metropolitan Philotheos serving at St. Therapon in Kato Toumba again. I noticed Fr. Iakovos was both protosyncellus and president of the parish council there—good to have him back with the local priests. The deacons from different parishes must have made for a full altar that Sunday.
