New Jersey Metropolitan Apostolos inaugurated the 2026 camp season of the "Good Shepherd" camptranslated

On the evening of Sunday, July 12, His Eminence Metropolitan of New Jersey Mr. Apostolos visited the Good Shepherd Summer Camp of the Holy Diocese of New Jersey, Maryland, in order to officially declare the opening of the 2026 camp season. Upon his arrival, His Holiness received a warm welcome from the camp clergy, team leaders, volunteers and numerous campers, who gathered with great joy to welcome their spiritual father.

The evening began with the Consecration Service, during which the Metropolitan Apostle prayed that God would bestow rich blessings on the camp, asking the Lord to protect all those who will participate during the summer and to claim them to progress in faith, wisdom and Christian love. As the Bible reminds us: "Unless the Lord builds a house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 126 [127]:1). With the blessing of the Church, the new camp season began under the grace and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

After the Mass, His Holiness addressed the campers with warmth…

Bine ați făcut că ați început cu Agheasmă și cu Psalmul 126. Fără binecuvântarea lui Dumnezeu chiar și o tabără frumoasă ca „o Pimen o Kalos” rămâne goală. Să le fie de folos copiilor tot vara asta.
