The Forum of Musicians of the Holy Archdiocese of America, during the Clergy Assembly of 2026, awarded the Medal of St. Roman the Melody to two persons who have distinguished themselves for their important work in church music. This high honor was conferred by the Most Reverend Archbishop of America, Mr. Elpidophoros. It is good that they honor Fr. Michael Palad, the Doxology he composed in English I have heard in several parishes here. Also interesting what he does every week with the scores of Orthros along with recordings, it helps the choristers a lot. Congratulations also to Nicholas Chimitris.

I am glad that Father Michael Palad received this distinction - his Doxology in English really sounds worthy and I heard it in our parish when we hosted a choir from America. These weekly notes to Orthros with recordings are a great thing, I would use them when baking prosfora, because then I always sing something. Congratulations to both!
