It's a tough one, that Gospel bit about loving your enemies. I catch myself ignoring the guy who bad-mouthed me at work instead of praying for him, exactly like the bishop said. Makes me wonder how often we just pretend we're not holding a grudge.

Yeah, that bit about ignoring people as a way of "punishing" them hit home. I do the same thing with a neighbour who keeps letting his dog dig up my yard – easier than praying for him like the Gospel says. Makes me think I need to stop pretending it's not the same as holding a grudge.
