Rada by som si vypočula aspoň jeden príspevok.

Interesting topic, especially the part about how Orthodoxy shaped Slavic history. I wonder if they'll cover any Belarusian angles from the old days around Brest. Will the talks be available online afterward?

Pavol, I agree, our Slovak history is very well represented there. Unfortunately, from what I've read, they won't be streaming the conference, but maybe they'll at least post a collection of papers later. Would you like to hear something specific about the Cyril-Method period, or rather about later times?

Yes, our history in Syria and Lebanon is full of similar stories of maintaining faith under pressure. In Zahle, they actually adhered to the Arabic rituals and language despite everything, just as happened among the Slavs. If the video becomes available, let me know so I can watch it with you.

It’s a pity that you won’t be able to go, Elena. Here in Kazan, too, everything started to turn around on September 1, my daughter at the university is already up to her ears in lectures. They will probably talk about the Union of Brest and the return to Orthodoxy - a sore subject for those places. And if they post the recordings, it would be nice to look at the BelTA website, I’ll look for it too.

It’s a pity that the school year overlaps everything. In Yaroslavl, too, since September 1, my accounting department has been jammed, I can’t even get away for the weekend. And it would be interesting to hear about the Union of Brest and the return to Orthodoxy on the spot - everything is there next to the fortress. If you post the recordings, be sure to send the link, Elena.

It’s a pity that the academic year at medical school covers everything, Elena. In New York, too, since September my accounting department has been full of reports, sometimes I even run to church. And I would also listen about the Union of Brest and the return to Orthodoxy - maybe later they will post at least theses on the BelTA website?

It’s a pity that reports in New York since September have not allowed you to breathe, Galina. In Tula, too, with the beginning of the school year, choir rehearsals shift, but I still try to find time. And it would be interesting to read the abstracts about the Union of Brest, if they post them, maybe I’ll have time to look at them later on the train to work.

Yes, Elias, Zahle actually preserved the Arabic rituals and language even in the days of the Ottoman Empire when they were trying to impose Greek. I heard my grandmother talking about how they used to hide books and icons in the houses. If the video is uploaded later, tell me if it contains a part about the East or not.
