The rector of the Church of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers in the village of Krasny Sad visited the pre-trial detention centers of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the region and the institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairstranslated

On October 1, 2026, the rector of the Church of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers in the village of Krasny Sad, Priest Andrei Mnatsaganov, and a member of the Public Monitoring Commission (POC) of the Rostov region, Igor Omelchenko, visited pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the city of Rostov-on-Don.

During the visit, members of the commission checked the conditions of detention of minor suspects, as well as women brought from other pre-trial detention centers to participate in court hearings. The cells and premises of the institution were inspected. No violations of conditions of detention in cells for minors and women were identified. Medical examinations and walks are carried out regularly.

On the same day, Priest Andrei Mnatsaganov and member of the Public Monitoring Committee Olga Novikova visited the Temporary Detention Center for Juvenile Offenders of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Rostov Region. There are currently nine teenagers at the center, including two girls.

The main objectives of the institution are to ensure the safety and health of minors, prevent repeated offenses and identify the reasons that contributed to the commission of illegal actions. Members of the POC held a preventive conversation and open dialogue with the teenagers.
