From September 12 to 13, 2026, the First All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference was held in Nizhny Novgorod in the format of a gathering of the military clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church, caring for military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation. From the Vyatka Diocese, the head of the diocesan department for interaction with the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, rector of the Church of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, Priest Alexander Kossov, took part in the conference. The event was preceded by a conciliar prayer of the participants during the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky. The service was performed by Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Head of the Synodal Committee for Interaction with the Cossacks, Metropolitan of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk Kirill, Bishop Elijah of Balakhna.
