Anniversary moment in the Diocese of Alexandria and Teleormanu: the Diocese has completed three decades since its foundationtranslated

The Diocese of Alexandria and Teleormanu celebrated three decades of its establishment on Tuesday, and Bishop Galaction celebrated thirty years of enthronement.

The Holy Liturgy was celebrated at the Episcopal Cathedral in Alexandria by Metropolitan Teofan of Moldavia and Bucovina, together with Bishops Galaction of Alexandria and Teleormanu, Sebastian of Slatina and the Romanians, Nectarius of Iceland and Ireland and with the Most Reverend Father Nicodim of Skopelos, Vicar Bishop of the Metropolis of Halkida, Istiaia and the Northern Sporades (Orthodox Church of Greece). Archbishop Calinic of Argeș and Muscel also participated in the service.

As a delegate of His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel, Metropolitan Teofan presented the message of the Patriarch of Romania, delivered at the time of the anniversary.

A great celebration His Eminence emphasized that from its establishment to the present, the Diocese of Alexandria and Teleorman has constantly developed both from an administrative and pastoral-missionary point of view.

Felicitări Episcopiei Alexandriei și Teleormanului pentru cei 30 de ani! Am observat că au menționat revitalizarea mănăstirilor și construirea de biserici sub părintele Galaction – asta se vede și la noi în parohii, că o viață lungă de slujire aduce roade concrete. Slavă lui Dumnezeu pentru o astfel de lucrare.

Da, 30 de ani nu sunt puțini. Mi-a rămas în minte că sub episcopul Galaction au revitalizat mănăstiri și au ridicat biserici noi – exact cum zice și Gалина, la noi în parohie se vede același lucru când un preot slujește cu răbdare ani mulți. Slavă lui Dumnezeu pentru o astfel de lucrare.

30 de ani de episcopie și 30 de ani de întronizare pentru episcopul Galaction – asta chiar e o coincidență care spune ceva. Ano, vidím, že i tady v Alexandrii se za těch třicet let postavily nové chrámy a ožily kláštery. U nás v Libereci to bylo podobné – když náš otec Jiří sloužil přes dvacet let, tak se nám podařilo opravit střechu a lidé začali chodit i na všední večerní. Je to vidět, že dlouhá trpělivá služba přináší ovoce.

Да, 30 лет — срок серьёзный. У нас в Новосибирске тоже видно, как один настоятель за 15–20 лет и храм отремонтирует, и людей вокруг себя соберёт. Интересно, сколько новых приходов открыли за эти годы в епархии.
