On September 4, 2026, young hockey players from the Olympic reserve sports school “Khimik” visited the Jerusalem temple in Voskresensk. The students, led by coach V.V. Dryndin, as well as their parents, came to pray before the start of the new season and ask for blessings for the upcoming work. The dean of the 1st Voskresensky deanery district and the rector of the church, Archpriest Kirill Sedov, performed a prayer service “On invoking the help of the Holy Spirit before beginning any good deed.” In his pastoral speech, the priest emphasized that in sports, as in life, not only physical endurance is important, but also strength of spirit, faith and the help of God. The meeting ended with the traditional sprinkling of holy water. In memory of this day, Father Kirill presented the children with sweet gifts.
