Happy birthday to the church. Agios Petros y Pavlos has been going strong for 300 years, it's a nice thing to see such anniversaries with a liturgy.

Praise God that they celebrated 300 years with a bishop's liturgy. Petropavlovskîi in Kazan looks good even after all this time, as if it reminds us how durable old churches are. Congratulations to those out there!

I agree, Elias, 300 years is not a short time for a church. I saw pictures from the function and loved how people filled the place. How did you celebrate the anniversary?

I agree Zoe, 300 years is a long time and the church still seems to be holding strong. I lit a candle here at home and chanted alone in the afternoon, because I couldn't go to church. Did you go to a service near you?

No, I didn't get to go to service yesterday, we had a lot of work in the office until late. The candle that you lit at home is a nice idea, I did the same with a small icon of Saint Peter that I have from Cyprus. How old have you had this candlestick, Maria?

Στέλιος Νικολαΐδης
My candlestick is from my grandmother, it will be around 35 years old. Nice that you remembered Saint Peter from Cyprus, I always say that the little icons we bring from trips keep the memories alive. I hope you can catch the next service, Demetra.

Yes, Zoe, for 300 years the church has been strong, you are right. I didn't go to service yesterday, but I took a ride in the car after work and passed by Agios Nikolaos here in Patras to light a candle. How did you celebrate in the end?

Your grandmother's candelabra holds up, Stelie, like mine from Volos that are over 40 years old. Good that you also remembered Saint Peter of Cyprus, I always take a small wooden cross from every pilgrimage. Are you going to the next mode after all?
