It is good that Metropolitan Dionysius personally calls people. The procession for the Baptism of Russia is a beautiful memory, especially if you gather as a family, as we did last year in Prilep. I will pray for good weather in Omsk.

It is good that the metropolitan personally invites people, it always makes the work more present. The procession for the Baptism of Russia sounds nice, especially if families gather. At our place in Plovdiv last year on Epiphany, many people also gathered beside Maritsa, although the weather was a bit windy.

Our parish here in Dallas does a small procession every year on the Baptism of Rus too, usually after Liturgy with a few families walking to the little park across the street. Good to hear the metropolitan is personally inviting folks in Omsk; that always makes it feel more like a real community thing. Hope the weather holds for them like it mostly did for us last July.

In Minsk, too, there is always a procession of the cross after the Liturgy for the Epiphany of Rus'; we gather with the priest and several families. It’s good that Metropolitan Dionysius himself calls the Omsk people, it really encourages people. Last year it rained, but they still came.

Our little group here in Boston does something similar after Liturgy on the feast, just a quiet walk around the block with a couple of families and the kids carrying icons. Nice that the metropolitan is making the personal invite in Omsk; it does pull more people out. Did your Dallas procession get rained on at all last year?

It's good that the metropolitan personally invites, it really makes people more willing to come. Here in Varna, on Epiphany, families also gather on the beach, even the children run on the sand afterwards. And in Plovdiv near Maritsa, was it very windy, or did you still manage to stay longer?

Well said, Vesna, it's nice when the metropolitan personally calls them. Last year we gathered in Bitola with our younger son and his children, and then we drank hot tea at home. Did you have a lot of people in Prilep or was it quieter?

Yes, personal invitation really helps, people feel more responsible. Here in Varna, Epiphany is also nice with the children on the beach, when my son was little, he always tried to get into the water first. And in Plovdiv near Maritsa, was the wind so strong that it drove people away earlier?
