"The image of complete humility, obedience and full service was the Mother of God", emphasized Tuesday Metropolitan Teofan of Moldova and Bucovina, at the patron of the Vorona Monastery in Botoșani county.

Starting from the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Eminence highlighted the fact that, throughout the history of the Church, the people who followed her example lived the faith authentically.

"And in the Church, throughout the ages, the real people, in fact, the only real people, have been and are the humble people."

Path to the Kingdom of Heaven The Metropolitan of Moldova and Bucovina explained how humility helps the Christian to face the trials of life: "The acquisition of the Kingdom of Heaven, which cannot be acquired by the proud, arrogant, with the desire to dominate".

"Another problem that man has is suffering, not that humility removes suffering, but humility empowers a man to pass much more easily over everything that comes to him."

"Also the humble attitude helps a person to enter into a beautiful relationship with the person next to him," IPS Teofan also said.

Thanks for the article. I remembered what Metropolitan Teofan said, that humility helps you get over suffering more easily, without driving them away. The pedestrian pilgrimage to Vorona must have been beautiful, especially now in autumn.
