The religious procession in Svetlogorsk united believers in prayer for the familytranslated

A religious procession dedicated to the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom, patrons of family and marriage, took place in Svetlogorsk. Believers with icons, crosses and banners walked in a prayer procession from the Church of St. Cyril of Turov to the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, offering chants in honor of the saints of God.
The route of the religious procession ran along the streets of 50 Let Oktyabrya and Lenin. At the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, a conciliar prayer for the well-being of families was performed in the open air.
The dean of the Svetlogorsk district, Archpriest Alexander Kisel, addressed the audience. He recalled that a Christian family is a small Church, where love, fidelity and unity are born through daily work, humility and the willingness to sacrifice oneself for the sake of one’s neighbor.
An important event of the holiday was the honoring of married couples who have lived together for more than twenty years. They were presented with memorable gifts as a token of gratitude for their loyalty to their family calling and preservation of Christian values.
The procession ended with a common prayer, uniting the participants in the desire to preserve family traditions based on faith, mutual love and responsibility to each other.
