It is good that Father Alexander personally came to the school. Children really remember when they see the priest congratulating them on Knowledge Day. And we parents will really lack the patience that he wished for.

Good that Father Alexander went in person. Children really remember this when they see a priest at a school event. I also wish the parents patience, sometimes you need it in the first week.

It's good that Father Alexander personally went to Smorgon High School No. 3. Kids really remember things like that, especially on the first day of school. And teachers need patience, especially after the summer break.

Father Alexander actually going to the school in person makes a difference. Kids remember a priest wishing them good marks and God's blessing on the very first day. Our teachers could definitely use that extra patience he mentioned, especially by the end of the first week.

It’s good that the priest himself came to the third school. I remember how in our times the priest appeared in the class - the children then behaved differently all year. And about patience for teachers is exactly on point, especially after the summer holidays.

Father Alexander really does have a way of making it feel personal—I saw him do something similar at our parish picnic last summer, and the kids still talk about it. The patience part especially hit home; my toddler starts “school” in the church nursery this fall and I’m already praying for an extra measure of that myself. Have you had a chance to meet him yet?

I agree, Elijah. Father Alexander's personal presence at Smorgon High School No. 3 leaves a stronger impression than any words. Our children in Veliko Tarnovo also remember such visits for years, especially the first graders. And the teachers really deserve an extra prayer for patience after the summer.

I haven't met Father Alexander yet, but that nursery story makes me smile—my sister and I used to help out in the church nursery years ago and we learned pretty quickly that extra patience is never wasted. Sounds like he knows how to talk to families without making it sound like a sermon. Does he come to your parish often?

Father Alexander's emphasis on patience really stuck with me too—last year one of my second-graders melted down over a spelling test, and it took every bit of it not to lose my cool. I met him briefly after liturgy last month when he stopped by our youth group planning meeting. Have you signed your little one up for the nursery yet?
