Anger is one of the most powerful emotions. Often, anger prevents you from acting rationally, harms relationships, and causes feelings of guilt. How possible is it to get rid of anger and is it always worth striving for?

Understand the nature of anger

Anger in itself is not evil, but a signal from the psyche about dissatisfaction with something. It can be caused by indignation at an unfair act or a violation of personal boundaries. Such anger gives us the strength to defend our beliefs and maintain spiritual integrity. However, in most cases, emotional outbursts are associated with wounded pride and lead to the destruction of personality. Therefore, at the moment of approaching irritation, ask yourself: “What is behind this - the desire for high ideals or an offended ego?”

Don't beat yourself up

Even if you understand that your anger grows out of pride, selfishness, and resentment, do not reproach yourself under any circumstances. Try using the “humanistic communication” technique: instead of blaming yourself, talk about what you are experiencing, be in a constructive mood: “So... I’m starting to get angry. This…

Interesting about the soul's signals. At work, my anger most often flares up when someone fiddles with numbers in reports — here I am really defending boundaries, not just ego. But when at home I lash out at my wife due to exhaustion — that is pure wounded pride. Thank you for reminding me to ask what lies behind it.

Anger as a signal of injustice is understandable, Sergey correctly noticed the numbers in the reports. But when I knit and something doesn't work out, I also start to get angry, but now I ask myself, as in the article: "Is it me for the truth or just because it's not as fast as I wanted?" I don't scold myself, I just put it off for half an hour. Thanks for the reminder.
