Many years to Fr. Andrei! He’s been such a steady presence at the hospital chapel all these years—patients always mention how calm he makes them feel. Glad the Metropolitan took time to honor him.

Many years to Fr. Andrei indeed. I remember visiting a friend at that hospital chapel last winter and he was the one who sat with us for almost an hour, no rush at all. Did you ever get to hear him preach there on a Sunday?

Yeah, Fr. Andrei has that calm way about him—my buddy was in the same hospital last year and said he stayed after the service just chatting with patients like it was no big deal. Never caught his Sunday preaching there though. Did he usually do the English parts or stick to Russian?

Father Andrey is really so calm. I remember how my mother was lying in the same hospital chapel two years ago, he gave her communion and then sat next to her and just talked. It’s good that the Metropolitan congratulated him, he deserved it. And his sermons on Sundays are really very simple, without unnecessary things.
