Festivitatea de deschidere a anului școlar la Școala Postliceală „Sfântul Ștefan” din Craiova

Cu binecuvântarea Înaltpreasfințitului Părinte Dr. Irineu, Arhiepiscopul Craiovei și Mitropolitul Olteniei, luni, 21 septembrie 2026, a avut loc festivitatea de deschidere a anului școlar la Școala Postliceală „Sfântul Ștefan” din Craiova. Cu acest prilej a fost oficiată slujba de Te Deum de către Pr. dr. Adrian Lupu, Consilier Eparhial, şi de Pr. Cătălin Ţăruş, Marele Eclesiarh al Catedralei Mitropolitane „Sf. M. Mc. Dimitrie, Izvorâtorul de Mir” din Craiova.

Pr. dr. Adrian Lupu a transmis mesajul de binecuvântare al Înaltpreasfințitului Părinte Dr. Irineu, Arhiepiscopul Craiovei și Mitropolitul Olteniei: „La începutul acestui nou an școlar, le dorim elevilor multă putere de muncă, încredere și dorința de a transforma cunoștințele dobândite într-o adevărată vocație pusă în slujba vieții și a aproapelui. Cadrelor didactice le dorim înțelepciune, răbdare și puterea de a rămâne pentru fiecare generație nu doar dascăli ai unei profesii, ci și formatori de caractere, cu binecuvântarea și ajutorul lui Dumnezeu”.

Doamna prof. drd. Carmen Oprea, inspector școlar de specialitate, a transmis mesajul Inspectoratului Școlar Județean Dolj: „Școala Postliceală «Sfântul Ștefan» din Craiova…

Cool event! The Te Deum service with Father Adrian Lupu and Father Cătălin Ţăruş seemed appropriate to me, especially since the message of His Holiness Irineu about the formation of characters, not just the profession, really applies. May God grant that the students from "Sfântul Ștefan" finish with a true vocation.

Sounds like a solid start to the school year. I like how the archbishop's message pushed for teachers to shape character, not just hand out diplomas — that's what really sticks with kids later. Hope those students at Sfântul Ștefan carry that with them.

Yes, the message about character building, not just the degree, I thought was the best point. At our college, you can clearly see the difference when the teachers only stick to the subject. May God give patience to the students of "Sfântul Ștefan" and finish this year well.
