The Diocese of Italy hosts the courses for obtaining clerical degrees in the European diasporatranslated

The Diocese of Italy is hosting, from September 21-25, the courses for obtaining clerical degrees in the European diaspora.

For five days, the liturgical and teaching activities take place at the "Holy Pious Parascheva de la Iași" Parish in Turin.

The courses were opened on Monday with the celebration of the Holy Liturgy. Fr. was also a part of the cathedral. Prof. Nicușor Beldiman, patriarchal adviser within the theological-educational sector of the Patriarchal Administration.

The Tedeum service was officiated by Vicar Vicar Maxim Danubian of the Diocese of Italy, together with Fr. prof. Ștefan Buchiu and Fr. Prof. David Pestroiu from the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Bucharest.

His Eminence conveyed to the students a message of blessing from the Bishop of Siluan of Italy.

Father Professor George Grigoriță, patriarchal adviser at the Chancellery of the Holy Synod and president of the evaluation committee of the September 2026 Session of Clerical Degrees, spoke to the clergy about the importance of continuous training.

It's good to see the courses happening right there at St Parascheva in Turin – that parish always seems to be busy with something worthwhile. Father Nicușor Beldiman taking part in the opening Liturgy makes sense; he's been involved in education for years. Hope the clergy come away with something practical they can actually use back in their parishes.

I am glad that they gathered at the Holy Paraskevi in Turin, and I was also there for a service two years ago; it is a welcoming church. Father George Grigoriţa spoke well about continuous preparation, otherwise we wake up to serve from habit. I hope that Priest Dumitru Ştefănescu clarified the administrative part, as bureaucracy can be complicated for us in the diaspora.
