Military Glory Day: requiem meeting and priest’s visit to the aviation collegetranslated

On September 3, on the 30th Anniversary of Victory Square in the city of Ulyanovsk, a requiem meeting was held dedicated to the Day of Military Glory of Russia - the Day of Victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, the head of the department for interaction with the armed forces, Archpriest Sergius Kichigin, took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame memorial. The priest wished the military personnel and veterans success in serving the Motherland and educating the younger generation.
Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Alexey Russkikh, Deputy Governor Alexander Korobko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Valery Malyshev, Deputy Vasily Gvozdev, Mufti and Chairman of the Ulyanovsk RDUM Ildar Haji Safiullin, representatives of the city administration, City Duma, military personnel of the territorial garrison, combat veterans, as well as representatives of public and veteran organizations came to honor the memory of the fallen soldiers.
