Yeah, it's a real shame about those crosses—they did catch your eye from across the river. Any word on whether the Vologda diocese is trying to buy the place back or if it's just going to sit empty?

It's a shame that the last cross was also removed. They really saw the cathedral from afar, especially when you came over the bridge. Does anyone know if the Mitropolie is already doing something to get the building back?

It's a real shame, those crosses were the first thing you'd notice from the river. The article says the building's being turned over to the city museum for exhibitions, but I doubt it'll look the same without them. Have you been to Vologda yourself?
