On the evening of September 21, 2026, in honor of the eve of the feast day of Righteous Fathers Joachim and Anne, Archbishop John, Archbishop of Brest and Kobrin, and Metropolitan of Chernigov, Feodosius, celebrated Vespers with the chanting of the Akathist to the Nativity of the Theotokos in the cathedral church of St. Simon the Tanner in Brest in the presence of the cathedral clergy.

After the reading of the Gospel, His Eminence addressed the worshippers with a word of exhortation.

Вчера вечером как раз думала про Иоакима и Анну, когда пекла пирог для хора. Приятно, что владыка Иоанн сам акафист читал, всегда его голос в соборе хорошо слышно. Спасибо за фоторепортаж, посмотрю после смены.

Вчера как раз вспоминала, что у Иоакима и Анны тоже были свои скорби, когда читала про них в акафисте. Хорошо, что владыка Иоанн сам акафист читал, его голос правда всегда чётко слышен даже в дальнем углу собора. Фото потом посмотрю, спасибо.
