The diocesan administration held another working meeting between Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk and an employee of the diocese, assistant to the bishop for social work N.V. Stemporzhetskaya.

Nadezhda Vyacheslavna spoke in detail about the organization of the work of the diocesan department for church charity and social service, about the provision of targeted assistance and support to lonely elderly people, the elderly, people in difficult life situations, victims of emergency situations (fires, floods), as well as low-income, large and single-parent families.

Since 2018, the Tara diocese has been cooperating with the Vesna charitable foundation for supporting social initiatives. But due to the current situation, the work of the Fund was suspended in 2025 and resumed only in March 2026.

Thanks to the assistance of the Foundation, 74 people in our diocese received assistance in the amount of 900 thousand rubles over the 6 months of this year. Among them: 27 people (including four fire victims) purchased food and basic necessities, 18 people were able to buy firewood, and 29 schoolchildren replenished their arsenal of stationery on the eve of the new school year.
